General questions
Do we need a fishing license?
Licenses are mandatory in Quebec; if you don’t have one, you can get one online on the Quebec Government website.
What are the road conditions to get to Lac à Joe Bob?
The roads are well maintained and you can reach the premises by car.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Is the water drinkable?
No, the water is drawn from the lake. You will find water jugs in a few areas. You will find water jugs in a few areas.
Is fishing equipment provided?
Yes, you will find a complete fishing tackle box in each boat. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment. Vous pouvez tout de même apporter vos équipements sans problèmes.
Are sheets, blankets, pillows (bedding), and towels provided for the stay?
No, you must bring your own bedding and towels. We provide toilet paper, bath mats and hand towels. Please also refer to the list of essentials created especially for the occasion.
Is there a cellular network?
Most cellular networks are functional.
Is there Wi-Fi on the premises?
Wi-Fi is available on the premises.
Are children welcome?
With the exception of special activities for families, only children over the age of 16 may stay at the Lac à Joe Bob Fishing Club.
About the environment
What are your policies on the environment?
We encourage our guests to leave no evidence of their presence in the forest and on the lakes. Protecting and respecting nature is part of our culture. It is also forbidden to feed the animals.
What is your policy on smoking and cannabis use?
Smoking is not permitted in any building. Please dispose of your cannabis and cigarette butts in the designated areas.
Can I bring my own boat and motor?
Only boats belonging to the private club are allowed in order to avoid contamination by invasive species.
Are campfires allowed?
Campfires are not permitted anywhere on the Saint-Alexis-des-Monts territory. A special facility was newly built to allow gatherings around a large propane fireplace. Please refer to the applicable rules on the premises.
What species of fish are found in Lac à Joe Bob?
The stocked lake is teeming with rainbow trout, Arctic char and speckled trout.
